‘AMF’ is slang code for ‘Adios Mother Fucker’. Often said as a threat, or with intent to instill fear among the receiver(s). Also sometimes used by Spanish speaking teens or ‘vatos’ as a way to sound ‘cool’ when saying goodbye to a friend.
‘Adios’ is Spanish for goodbye, and quite possibly the most well-known Spanish word among non-Spanish speaking people.
‘Mother Fucker’ is a derogatory slang term meaning ‘you’. This term is most often used when the speaker is upset with or annoyed by the recipient. However, the term is sometimes used in regular conversation in place of a word like ‘my friend’, ‘bro’, or ‘dude’. AMF or Adios Mother Fucker should not be considered acceptable for polite conversation.
